主要内容：

 In the talks, the speaker will introduce the current state of the art technology in Computer Vision(CV), the prospect of the future research and its direction. In overall summary of the contemporary CV technology, the most hot topics in the state of the art and its application will go to the intelligent robotics and autonomous vehicular systems. However, in the talks, the speaker will emphasize the some pitfalls of CV technology and other related works, eg. sensor fusion and thus try to resolve the ideas which will relieve the current bottlenecks in IoT(internet of things) related application along with those hardware related problems. As an issue, some application will be explained with real examples in intelligent systems eg. autonomous vehicles or intelligent surveillance systems from my research experience.

The Speaker Introduction：

Prof. Jo, Kang-Hyun, Ph.D., had graduated and obtained the BS from Busan National University, MS and Ph.D from Osaka University, in 1989, 1993, and 1997, respectively. After experienced in ETRI(Electro-Telecommunication Research Center), in Korea as a post-doctor research fellow. Since 1998, he has been with University of Ulsan, Korea as a full time faculty member, now as a professor in charge of Intelligent Systems Laboratory. He has served as the vice dean of e-Vehicle Graduate Institute during 2007-2009 and continuously the vice dean of College of Engineering during 2009-2011. He also had been working in Kyushu University and KIST(Korea Institute of Science and Technology) during 2005 to 2006, Oregon State University during 2007 summer and UC Riverside during 2013 to 2014 as a visiting scholar.
