主要内容：Confucianism is so often labeled as the core of traditional Chinese culture which, philosophically speaking, should be attributed to Taoism. Traditional Chinese Taoist philosophy embodies primitive materialism, dialectical epistemology, harmonious view of nature and non-interfering relation between man and nature and political quietism and all these ideas have seeped deep into Chinese social life for more than two thousand of years, bringing about great impact upon the development of Chinese history, religion, literature and art, science and technology, as well as in the field of medical care, architecture, food and drink, and dressing and adornments. Through a survey of the world view, literature and art, traditional Chinese medicine and food, Chinese Kungfu and traditional Chinese architecture, this lecture will provide a basic introduction to traditional Chinese Taoism.
